Hello,
I currently have a vantage pro2 console (circa 2014) and also a WeatherLink Live device that I have used for various scenarios over the years. I would like to decommission the vantage pro2 console and just have my weather programs all pull data from the WLL for simplicity.
During my testing I've noticed that MB seems to be getting wind readings from the WLL every 5-10 seconds instead of the normal 2-3 seconds when using the pro2 console. Sometimes I will see as much as 15 seconds pass between wind readings. This occasionally results in high wind gusts not being recognized.
I know that WLL is capable of supplying the wind readings every 2-3 seconds because if I use Weather Display and connect to the WLL, I see the UDP readings being updated every 2-3 seconds in the Davis WLL utility (crondaviswll).
So my question is, does MB "poll" for the WLL data at certain intervals or is it supposed to get data from the WLL's UDP port immediately when available.
Thank you for reading.
